Kilhan Construction was appointed the Preferred Contractor for the landmark Soho Loop development in Birmingham. This extensive regeneration project transformed 12 acres of brownfield land into a vibrant new community. Our scope included Groundworks, six reinforced concrete (RC) frames ranging from 6 to 14 storeys, infrastructure roads, and full external landscaping. The scheme comprises 102 townhouses, 650 apartments, over 10,000 sq ft of commercial space, and an expansive public realm, including gardens, parks, and shared amenity spaces.
Kilhan successfully managed complex interfaces with Network Rail and the Canal & River Trust, delivering high-precision work on a live site while maintaining programme integrity. Our external package involved constructing new infrastructure roads linking Dudley Road through the development, creating resin-bound driveways, York stone footpaths, and landscaped communal gardens and parks. The site also features a new pedestrian and cycle bridge connecting to the city centre, enhancing accessibility and connectivity.
